Bristol Audi supplies new fleet
The well-received Audi A1 is making great gains in the battle for sales within the premium compact car sector of the market.
Now one local company has chosen this model for its business fleet.
The keys to four gleaming new Audi cars were handed over to Andrew Simmonds, managing director of BNS Management Services by Steve Smith, Bristol Audi’s head of business at the Audi Retail Centre in Lysander Road, Cribbs Causeway.
When asked by Steve why he decided to change some of his company fleet to the Audi A1 Andrew said: “Audi has always been the class leader in our opinion. Running a stylish and sporty compact car such as the A1 really fits with our company image.“ Andrew continued: “The car just makes such sense. The Audi A1 looks great, it’s very sporty and yet it comes packed with technology such as “stop-Start”. With zero road tax in the first year, ridiculously good fuel consumption and low service costs its very financially attractive as a fleet vehicle. And, being an Audi, it’ll keep its value when we come to exchange our fleet of A1’s later on down the line.”
Today, BNS Management Services is run by Brother’s Andrew and Ian who hold the position of Managing Director and Operations Director respectively. The Simmonds family and their company, BNS Management Services, have been Bristol Audi customers for more than 20 years and during that time around 20 cars have been supplied. It all started when Andrew’s father, Bruce, bought his first Audi, and Audi A8, some two decades ago.
BNS Management Services remains very much a family orientated concern, now with a strong team of support staff who are on hand to assist. BNS now manages in excess of 140 blocks of apartments, containing approximately 2,800 units in the region. Its expertise continues to ensure lessees are treated fairly. The company continues to strive to be the service provider of choice for developers, residents’ management companies and landlords – adding value and giving real comfort.
Andrew Simmonds is a member of Great western Round Table and the main organiser for the very popular Downend Fireworks Display, an event that has been sponsored by Bristol Audi for three years running.
After the handover Steve told us: “We’ve entered a new era. There’s a new type of customer today now visiting our new showroom at Cribbs Causeway. Many purchasers now demand the best of both worlds. They want a car that makes a statement by the way it looks and performs while at the same time, they require something that is more environmentally friendly and easier on the pocket. For them, the A1 is perfect. It’s a true Audi in being stylish, sporty and progressive while being very affordable.”
