Bristol property management business BNS Management Services has reported a successful 2012 so far with more block residents opting to hand over control to the building and management specialists.
Directors at the Downend-based company have noticed a steep increase in the number of self-managed blocks wanting support with care of communal areas and external open spaces as well as the financial and legal side of block management.
Managing Director Andrew Simmonds said: “2012 has been fantastic for us as a business so far; we have had 20 new blocks sign up for our services and the majority of these were previously self-managed.
“Everybody’s lives are so busy nowadays and there’s so much to think about and organise that people are looking to avoid the stress of building management as much as possible. The best way to do that is to hand over to a managing agent like us which handles everything for one monthly fee.
“Not only does it save residents time and effort, we also save them money on services and contractors, so it’s a win-win.

Due to the rise in demand, BNS is now looking to build its contractor list and also employ another full-time property manager and other support staff.
