BNS is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to join our On-Site Services team. This role will involve assisting with project works across various sites in Bristol and the surrounding areas, including residential properties, blocks of flats, and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting tradespeople and ensuring sites are kept safe, clean, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Assist tradespeople with construction, repair, and maintenance tasks
- Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Carry out site preparation, including setting up work areas and ensuring a tidy environment
- Undertake basic manual labour tasks such as loading and unloading materials, digging, and clearing debris
- Support in minor works, including demolition, studwork, boarding, and assisting with plumbing, painting, and decorating
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site
- Communicate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and project managers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a labouring or construction role preferred but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- A good level of physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual tasks
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to travel to different jobsites as required
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
Position:
- Full-time: 42.5-hour week
- 21 days holiday plus bank holidays
