BNS are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Roofer/Multi-trader to join our On-Site Services team. The role is focused primarily on roofing projects but includes a variety of related multi-trade tasks to ensure comprehensive property maintenance and development. You will work across residential properties, blocks of flats, and commercial sites in Bristol and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have extensive roofing expertise, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of roofing work, including repairs, re-roofing, and new roof installations.
- Work with a variety of roofing materials such as slate, tile, felt, and flat roofing systems.
- Identify and rectify roof leaks, ensuring long-term solutions.
- Conduct general roofline work, including guttering, fascia, and soffit installation and repair.
- Carry out related multi-trade tasks, such as minor carpentry (e.g., timber roof supports), plastering, and general finishing.
- Assist with external maintenance tasks such as brickwork, pointing, or rendering, when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all worksites.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage materials and equipment required for roofing tasks.
- Travel between sites as needed, ensuring punctual and efficient completion of all projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Roofer, with a strong portfolio of work across various roofing systems.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and tools.
- Multi-trade skills, particularly in areas complementary to roofing, such as carpentry and external maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and solve roofing issues efficiently and to a high standard.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional workmanship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Valid UK driver’s licence.
Position Details:
- Full-time: 42.5 hours per week.
- Company vehicle provided.
- Holiday entitlement: 21 days plus bank holidays.
