BNS is extremely happy to announce that we are sponsoring Bristol Unicornfest! The unicorn trail promises to be an exciting activity for the whole of Bristol and beyond, bringing entertainment for all the family while also raising awareness and funds for a truly deserving cause: Leukaemia Care.
Unicornfest is a public art sculpture trail taking place in Bristol across the summer of 2023. Each sculpture will be a two-meter-tall unicorn, individually decorated by specially selected artists so that they each stand out from the herd.
BNS is proud to be a platinum sponsor to one of these magical creatures. Stay tuned for news on the BNS unicorn! Next year we will announce which artist we’re working with and where in Bristol you will find our customised unicorn.
Unicorns have long been associated with the city of Bristol. They appear on city crests and stand majestically on top of City Hall.
As well as an incredible trail of artwork across our fantastic city, the unicorn trail hopes to raise awareness of leukaemia – a type of blood cancer.
Leukaemia affects around 10,000 people per year and is the most common cancer in children – but did you know that Leukaemia is most common in adults aged 65 and above?
We need to raise awareness of that fact, and BNS is proud to play a part in doing so.
Following in the footsteps of the Bristol gorillas and Gromits, these wonderful unicorns will be placed at specially selected locations around Bristol.
Keen unicorn spotters will have the opportunity to download the Unicornfest app. This app will give you all the information you need to find every unicorn, including information on the artists and sponsors. It will also include an exciting augmented reality function to bring the trail to life.
At the end of the summer, each unicorn will be rounded up and auctioned off to raise money for Leukaemia Care.
BNS is delighted to be involved in this exciting project, which will bring so much fun to our vibrant city while also raising much needed awareness and money for an important cause.
Happy unicorn spotting!
