At BNS, we believe that it is important for us to conduct our business in a socially responsible manner. We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate and minimising our environmental footprint. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are based on three pillars: charity, sustainability and community.
We are committed to making a positive impact through our charitable, sustainability, and community initiatives. We believe that by conducting our business in a socially responsible manner, we can contribute to a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
Here are a few of the ways we’re taking steps to support the pillars of charity, sustainability and community:
Incentives to encourage BNS clients to go paper free.
BNS proudly sponsors Unicornfest - a charity sculpture trail in aid of Leukaemia Care.
Working closely with Clifton College on a Unicornfest arts project.
Volunteering for the St Peter’s Hospice's Christmas tree collection service
Providing eco-friendly services that allow clients to improve energy efficiency in their properties.
Sustainability
We understand that our business operations have an impact on the environment. We are committed to minimising our environmental footprint through various sustainability initiatives, including a paper-free initiative where we will plant one tree for every person who opts for digital-only correspondence. We will plant an additional 1,000 trees once we reach our goal of 75% paper-free clients. By doing this, we hope to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the fight against climate change.

As a property services company, we recognise the importance of giving back to our community.
St Peter’s Hospice’s Christmas Tree Collection
BNS is proud to be volunteering for St Peter’s Hospice’s Christmas Tree Collection service. The BNS team and vans will be actively involved in collecting trees and facilitating the recycling process. Join us in hassle-free Christmas tree recycling this January. Here’s how you can participate:
- Check if your postcode is covered.
- Book your collection and make a donation. (Suggested donation: £15-20 per tree)
- Leave your tree outside your home by midnight on Thursday 4th

Unicornfest
In 2023, we were also the proud sponsors of Unicornfest, a Bristol based summer-long sculpture trail to raise money and awareness for Leukaemia Care. Through our sponsorship, we are able to contribute to a worthy cause while also promoting community engagement. As part of our sponsorship of Unicornfest, we are proud to sponsor the Neuro-Disco-Corn, which raises awareness and support around neurodiversity. The unicorn we are sponsoring highlights neurodiversity and the unique strengths and obstacles that come with it. We are committed to continuing our support for charitable organisations and initiatives that align with our values.
Community
At BNS, we recognise the importance of building strong, supportive communities. That's why we are working closely with Clifton College on an art project to help them utilise the unicorn foals donated and funded by BNS and Unicornfest. This project involves children creating unique unicorn decoration ideas based on the unicorn sculptures. By supporting this project, we are able to engage with the community and promote creativity and imagination in children. We are committed to continuing to engage with the communities where we operate and supporting local initiatives that align with our values.
